Father-Son Outing

Well, all the boys, and my husband (also a cute boy) checked the weather report. Possible rain, thunderstorms, and snow tonight. So, they decided they weren't going to go. Until this morning. Then, they all turned into toughskin men who could brave tough conditions. So, after I came home from work, my husband, Brandon, Ethan, and Benjamin were off. So excited for some man time under the stars.

So, I am here at home with Maddie and Dylan. I decided we needed some kid fun. So we went to Smith's, they chose out candy (2 items each), I chose out some candy, they chose out some donut holes, and cookies, and I decided I got to read a trashy National Enquirer. So fun at times. (It's sorta' ironic that I learned to love some of these trashy magazines as a pre-teen accompanying my Dad on hometeaching visits. Let's just say one of these ladies, a very spicy New Yorker lady, would always save up a month-worth of trash magazines and give them to my Dad. My Dad was not a fan, and I am sure was displeased with this tradition, but my Dad is MUCH too polite to stand up to someone or hurt their feelings. He would gladly accept, we would get in the car, and I would read to my heart's content.) Anyway, that being said, I wanted to go back to those good ol' sunny days with my National Enquirer.

Then we headed to kid heaven, Mc Donald's. The kids played in the playplace for about 2 hours. We had happy meals, ice-cream,it was grand. I sat with my iphone and my National Enquirer reading about Matt Lauer's wandering eye. So fascinating, especially when it involves my Today Show Family.

Now we are home, eating Pop Rocks, watching Toothfairy, and I am blogging. Life almost does not get better than this, unless my husband was here, and of course three other cute boys. But I guess they are enjoying weathering a storm. I'll just enjoy my National Enquirer, but thanks anyway.

If only I had a People Magazine.

Me to Dylan, "You're beautiful." Dylan: "No Mom, you are beautiful. I am cute."
What a little sweetheart. I love age 3.

The Charmer

Like I have said, my little Dylan is a charmer. When Grandma came over yesterday, he sat on her lap and noticed she didn't have earrings on. He told her, "Grandma, you don't have earrings on. When I am a Daddy, I am going to buy you some earrings." Little tenderchop. He is a little angel. Full of love and kindness, and conversely, a bit of anger and broodiness as well. Love him, full of charm, beauty and tenderness.

From time to time, little Dylan will look at me and tell me most tenderly and sincerely, "You are so beautiful Mommy." He will also tell Maddie how beautiful she is. He already got skills and he is only three. Heaven help us when he is a teenager. Hopefully by then he will have lost his charm:)

My Little Dylan

My little Dylan is such a cutie. He is quite the charmer. After church yesterday, Mother's Day, I was told by his teacher, he had told them, "When I grow up I am going to be a Daddy, and I am going to marry my Mommy." Such a little sweetheart! I love three year olds. Such a great age. Please don't let my baby grow up.

Mother's Day Pictures

What a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I had the chance to go garage saling, kid-free, which was more than fabulous. We also went to Ethan's baseball game (they won by default), and enjoyed a great Mother's Day at church, then came home and enjoyed a Mother's Day dinner at our home, with my parents. It was a beautiful day, it was my Mom's birthday and Mother's Day. We had a great time and took lots of pictures. The men did a good job of all the food with a potato bar, an ice-cream bar, shrimp, asparagus, strawberry shortcake, and lots of other great food. I am grateful for my Mom, a wonderful husband, and family! If only we could continue this holiday celebration for another week or so. One of the highlights was the sweet letter from my husband. He is such a sweet, good man. That is the best gift I have given to my children; is choosing a great man to be their father.

I am grateful for my children. I got a bit teary yesterday thinking of Jennie (birthmom). We have been texting a bit, and she is going through some hard times. I will forever be grateful for her for giving me three beautiful children. What a selfless, loving gift. So many interesting thoughts on Mother's Day.

Ethan's Baptism

What a beautiful day! Ethan's baptism day. His baptism was at 10am at our Stake Center. Ethan was ecstatic to have his Nana and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa there. It was also great to see friends there to support Ethan on his baptism day. Now we get to see how long his "perfection" lasts. Thank goodness for repentance:)
