How to Properly Dispose of Your Computer and Ensure Personal Information is not Compromised

Thank goodness my husband knows how to properly dispose of our computer equipment when we are done with it. (Let's just hope and pray none of my pictures were still left on that computer!) If you have some destruction work that needs to be done, they may be willing to help out. I know, we are just the giving tree around here.

Run on Guns

I find it fascinating that ever since Obama won the election, there has been a run on guns. All gun shops around the country are sold out of assault rifles and all the manufacturers are all out of stock too. The prices of guns have gone up 50-100% in the last weeks since Obama won. Such craziness. This is due to the fact that Obama has said he will ban many rifles and shotguns within his first 100 days. It is unbelievable how panicked the supporters of the 2nd ammendment have become. Anyway, it's all very interesting to me as my husband loves guns and enjoys shooting guns.

Up until a year ago, I would not allow my husband to own or have guns. I have always disliked them and have had some fear of them. However, my husband has found such a fun hobby for himself that I felt like a mean Mommy trying to restrict this for him. (I guess this was a good year for me to change my mind on this, since the prices have soared recently!)

Since we have five very curious children, there are VERY strict rules about the guns. I have been given grief about this, but my kids do not even know we have guns. And, beyond that, the guns are all locked up very securely----so no worries, but I have been surprised at the direct effect this election has already had on our life. Just with the gun situation. A lot of people used to sell their used guns on KSL (Utah classified ads) for reasonable and cheap prices. Now they are expensive, even the used ones, and they are going so quickly. So, if you want a gun, now is the time to get one---- in the next couple months or you may not be able to!!! A good way to say "Merry Christmas" to your husband----if you can find one!

Or, to avoid being sexist, a great way to say "Merry Christmas" to your wife. From what I hear, they have pink guns at Walmart! What a gift. What a way to say "I love you" to that special person in your life. Or get a good laugh. Maybe an expensive laugh. Girls, don't be shy, tell your man you are wantin' that pink gun. This is the one Brandon is thinking of getting me----that is if I have been a good girl this year. Just kidding! (I know you are wondering if I am kidding about the gun or being a good girl this year. Gotta' keep you wondering.)

Brandon vs. The TV

OK, this video of Brandon blowing up the TV is just fabulous. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, he and his buddies are just joking about Harry!!! No need to be alarmed, they are just playing around! Maybe I do want to go shooting with him. This DOES look like fun! Do they sell pink guns? (Actually, frighteningly enough I have heard that Walmart carries a pink gun.) Maybe if I am a good girl I can get one for Christmas. JUST KIDDING! (And I am not yelling at you, I capitalize to emphasize.)

Thanks to our friends who had the video on their camera!

Brandon and his Gun

Boys and their Guns

Some boys I know---a couple months ago, had access to a broken big-screen TV. What did these boys decide to do with the broken TV? What any guy would do---right? Take it into the desert with their friends and shoot at it until it is decimated. Anyway, these boys had a blast going this last Saturday and shooting up exploding targets; among other things. The TV happened to still be there. I am sure it received a bit more damage on Saturday. Anyway, Brandon has so much fun with this new hobby. Now he just wants to take me with him one of these days. Hmmmmm, I will have to think on that one! Let me know if you are looking to get rid of a TV, because I know some people who could make use of it.
