Scenery

Feel free to enjoy my purposeful mispronunciation of words (which comes after talking to babies for 8 years straight), feel free to pronouce the word scenery, making sure to pronounce the supposed silent C. I mean, how would you feel to be part of a word for eons of time, and always get left out of the pronunciation? I am here to make sure that C finally gets it's moment in time. Plus, it is just so much more fun to say, Skeenery (what should be the true pronunciation of the word!)

The Family Dance at Aspen Grove

My Dad dancing with Maddie

The kids had such an amazing time dancing during the Family Dance at Aspen Grove. Fun times with Grandpa, Daddy, and Mommy, dancing to the music. It is great to break out in dance every once in a while. Especially with the family! Grandma missed out on the fun as she wasn't feeling well.

Ethan with a Hula-Hoop

While in Aspen Grove, the different age groups performed musical numbers from different decades. I don't recall which decade the hula-hoop was from, but Ethan's group had fun performing.

Brandon in a Black Wig

While at Aspen Grove, the kids were in little camp groups divided by age group. Each group put on a performance the last night. They found songs from each decade and had the kids sing and dance to represent each decade. I loved little Brandon in the black wig. He had a great time!

Red Blazer Minus the Red Nail Polish

My friends have teased me since college that if I ever had a daughter, I would dress her up in a red blazer with red nail polish. I think I have purposely deleted from my brain my "blazer and nailpolish" phase of college. Clearly, many have memories of me in a red blazer and red nailpolish. When I saw this little blazer at Target for Maddie, how could I resist. I think some of you from my past might appreciate it, although, I guess I have to work on the red nail polish part. We'll get there, don't worry!!! (OK, maybe the blazer is more of a bright pinkish-red. Hey, I tried!)

Maddie Hugs

(the following entries for a while are all from our stay in Aspen Grove Family Camp-----thanks to my parents for hosting us! )
There is not much greater in this world than recieving a sweet, sincere, full of love hug from little Maddie. She could melt any heart!

Benj the Breakdancer

So, the last night of the camp, they have a family dance. At first thought, it might seem like a lame idea, but it is actually one of the funnest events for the kids. An hour or two of fun music and they just all go crazy. It is so darn cute. Each one of my kids had a great time dancing, but little Benjamin was incredible with his break dancing moves. For a 3 year old he is quite amazing. He is such a handsome, sweet, little boy!

Putt-Putt

Maddie Time

After swimming, Maddie wanted to play, so Grandma and I took her to play. 3 generations of girls had some fun. I love seeing through Maddie's eyes. She is so excited about everything and so happy. It is truly a blessing to have such a beautiful, happy, precious little girl in my life.
