My Guitar Heroes
The kids loved playing Guitar Hero with their cousins. Dylan really took to the microphone! Ethan loved guitar, Benjamin had the drums. Maddie was more the dancer. Brandon took on guitar and the microphone.

Waterpark fun in Texas
While in Texas, we had a great time at the Waterpark. Everyone came for the fun; Nana, Papa, Krista, Ted, and all the kids. There were two tall waterslides. Dylan (2) and Maddie (3) insisted on going on them, and loved every minute. Ethan (7) was a bit scared, so he did not go on them. This water park was so fun, we went twice. Little Brandon loved jumping off the diving board with cousins TJ and Savannah!

Two of a Kind
Brandon and I had fun on a double date with Krista and Ted at the Piano Bar. I have not laughed so hard in a long time. My husband recommended they play/sing C is for Cookie. I also enjoyed Krista singing every word to some hysterical Country song lyrics I had never heard before! Seriously, it was SOOOO much fun. It is great to do something different once in a while. I have heard there is a great place in Salt Lake that is similar. I am all over that!

Texas Bulls
We had a fun time going to watch the Bulls in Fort Worth. The kids loved it. Some of the kids also participated in a mechanical bull ride! Fun times! Click on collage to enlarge! Then you can see my Brandon already getting teen attitude. Scared of that.

Guitar Hero Time
It was fun to watch the adults playing guitar hero. Krista, Ted, and Brandon rocked out. Then, the rest of the time, the children took over and filled our heads with "Eye of the Tiger" and other "fabulous" songs.

Pedicure Time
When we get together, all the girls enjoy some Pedicure time. My mother-in-law, sister-in-law Krista, and I enjoyed some TLC. Fun for the girls!

My cute babies!
OK, should I cry now or later---Daddy and my Dylan. They kill me. Is there anything cuter than a picture of a Dad and child who adore each other? I think no, although I might be a touch prejudice. I will admit that much.

Adult Time
It was so nice to have some trusty babysitters; my nephew TJ and neice Savannah! It was great to be able to enjoy some time with Brandon's parents, and Brandon's sister Krista, and hubby Ted. Relaxing and nice!

A Texas 4th of July
What a fun way to celebrate the 4th of July! We all went to watch the fireworks together. The kids had a great time playing around, and we all enjoyed the fireworks.

Dylie
Dylan has a cute little pout! Here we are in Texas, at a ward breakfast. He didn't know if he liked the heat. When he saw the playground, he seemed to forget about that Texas heat!

All tuckered out!
After the two flights to Texas, with a 2 hour layover in between, we arrived to Texas! It was so cute, their cousins had made Welcome Signs to welcome us to Texas. What sweet cousins! My kids were thrilled to see Nana, Papa, and the gang! My kids were so tired. We put Dylan and Maddie down in the bed, and Maddie found herself a nice pillow on Dylan's rump and promptly fell asleep. I love sleeping babies. So cute. What little angelic faces!

Texas
As you can tell, I am VERY behind in my blogging. I have considered giving it up, as facebook has been fulfilling many of my networking needs----but alas, here I am. Anyway, around the 4th of July, we went for 9 days to Texas. It was SUCH a great break. We had a great time visiting with Brandon's parents and his sister Krista, brother in law Ted, and their kids: TJ, Savannah, and Jackson. We went to movies, played at the water park, enjoyed fireworks, were there for Jackson's baptism, and made great memories. It was fun and relaxing. Just what the Dr. ordered. And....is there anything better for kids than playing with cousins? I don't think so. And compared to me, my kids have been quite shorted in the cousin department. My kids currently have 6 cousins on my husbands side, and will soon have one on the other side. I have around 35 cousins on each side. So, yeah, compared to me, they have been quite shorted. Although, I guess having one brother, that isn't really fair, as that puts QUITE a bit of pressure on him to have 35 children. Maybe that's not fair. Maybe.
Here are some pictures from our trip. By the way, since you were wondering, I would not suggest having layovers on trips with five kids. Ever. Unless you are feeling suicidal. Then it will work perfectly into your plan. JK.

Just be glad you were not on that flight!!! Although I must admit: Brandon, Ethan, and Benjamin all sat together, and did great----No problems. Maddie on the other hand, kept jabbing the guy next to her wanting to talk to him. Every minute seemed to pass so slow, and I just wanted to die. And I was glad I would never see that passenger again. Especially when Maddie began talking about drawing a penis. She is wanting to share with others how she knows the difference between boys and girls. I know, lucky, aren't I! Dylan was with Brandon; which also was quite difficult. 2 and 3 year olds are not that dreamy on a plane. That was one of those times I should have let my husband "deal" with Maddie. (Refer to "dealing" blog post to understand my drift on this one.)
Bottom line---we got there and had a great time. And the kids did look SOOO cute and were so excited about their travel backpacks. Daddy had a great time the day prior buying special treats for their travel backpacks. It was so cute to have my husband excitedly telling me about what he had bought for them. I was like, Oh my gosh, I so heart you.
