Ethan---my basketball boy!
My little Ethan (7) just loves basketball. In fact, he is my Mr. Enthusiasm. He gets all excited for basketball, chess, computer games, etc. He has such spunk, it is adorable watching him play basketball, play chess, etc. He brings that childlike joy and happiness to things. He made a basket during practice and looks forward to his basketball games which are on Saturdays! He is my lucky number 13.

Basketball in the first grade...........
includes LOTS of traveling with the ball. You basically run with the ball, with a couple occasional dribbles to let people know it is still basketball.
You put your hands up in the air to defend, even if your team is on offense.
You may even try to make a basket for the other team. (Although this did not happen yesterday.)
Little Ethan and his basketball team are SOOOOO cute. I could just eat them up. Ethan is so thin and fast and he really loves basketball. Even while standing in line waiting to practice, he is practicing his moves in place. SO CUTE.
Anyway, I just love me some boys in uniform, especially my sons.

That is how you know someone is giving their all in a sport----if there tongue is out!

#31
So, since Brandon did football this year, it was Ethan's turn to play a sport. He loves basketball. Ethan is #31 and he is so darn cute playing basketball. Is there anything cuter than a six year old playing basketball? I think not, at least until tomorrow, when one of my other children does something cute!!!

Carving Pumpkins
My kids have been chomping at the bit to carve pumpkins. Every day, my kids ask me over and over, "Can we carve pumpkins tonight Mommy?" Finally, tonight, their dream came true.
For Family Home Evening, little Brandon was excited to give us a lesson on the Articles of Faith. He has been carrying an Articles of Faith card in his pocket the last couple days. Afterwards, we carved pumpkins and played some basketball. Fun family time.

Always, a fan of BYU!!!

Small town living. Nothing says it quite like a horse passing your house as you are carving pumpkins. It definately added to the ambience.
