Out-Takes

Well, two photo shoots, no great pictures of all the kids together. Always one smirk, someone turns around, something. Maybe three will be the lucky charm. Here are some of the out-takes. The good thing is I have gotten some individual pictures that are adorable. I love taking pictures and I really love one to get a good picture for Christmas. I guess we can all be dreamers! Butterfield Canyon is gorgeous for pictures. Tons of incredible nature-filled backgrounds.

Sunday Monsters

If only I had Brandon's heart, Ethan's nature, Benjamin's charm, Madison's courage, and Dylan's power----where would I be. I also wouldn't mind stealing some chocolate eyes and killer eyelashes while I was at it. The hope and strength of the next generation.

I love how I have this great background for pictures, but you can see my tacky van through the logs. Dangit, why do we always park right in front of where I end up taking pictures?

Grandma's 90th Birthday Party

My Grandma June Bartholomew had her 90th birthday. You get two guesses for her birthday month, and the first one doesn't count. Anyway, it was a beautiful birthday party. The cake was beautiful and there were beautiful tributes to her life. I think her best tributes to her life are her 8 children. I am grateful for my Grandma and the example she gave to her children. I am grateful for the strength of testimony in the gospel she gave to my father and through that link to all of us. My Grandma has always kept in great shape, and would do a handstand every day until just a few years ago. She is health-conscious, and has been service-oriented throughout her life. She spent most of her life in education. She taught many immigrant families English.

I have to admire her having 8 children. She had them pretty close together. I don't know how she did it. And this is all before dishwashers. And microwaves. And probably diapers. (And clearly before birth control. Just kidding. Well, I am not, but knowing my grandmother, that wouldn't have mattered anyway, she would have still had as many kids in the same time span.)

She is an amazing woman. May my mind remain as sharp as hers is at her age. Unbelievable. Happy 90th birthday Grandma June!

Easter with Grandparents

Grandma and Grandpa put on quite the Easter egg hunt for the kids. They had SOOOOO much fun! A fabulous Easter. My parents have a great backyard for playing. Trees to climb, beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. The kids had such a great time playing at their grandparents. They also found lots of toys, stuffed animals, and TONS of candy! Thanks for all the fun!!!
