This is Brandon's original "Fasthand" move; it gave me a good laugh; and that is Ethan singing that Shrek song in the background!

Messy Little Maddie
Maddie is suddenly ALLLLLL GIRL! It makes me so happy. She has just started requesting her "baby" when she goes to bed. Yes, she is attatched to a doll! It may not seem like a big deal to many; but after four boys, I look forward to these things. Also very amusing, the other day we had out a ball of rubberbands, and some got loose! She immediately put them around her wrist thinking they were bracelets. That's the difference between girls and boys, the boys immediately started using them as weapons! Funny thing, I don't know where she learned about "bracelets" as I am not a big jewelry person, especially when it comes to bracelets! However, I must say, she has always loved jewelry. Whenever around women, she immediately goes for the jewelry! She has her priorities! Just so you know, don't be alarmed, the white stuff all over is the diaper rash creme she decided to rub all over herself! Silly little girl; so precious to my heart!

The Family Birthday Festivities!
The Cake

Daddy and Ethan

Mommy and Ethan

He loves the cake!

and so does Brandon!

Well, I hope Ethan had a Happy Birthday! First thing in the morning, he ran to open his present from Nana and Papa (a Ben Ten voice changer) which he played with all morning. He also opened up some little gifts from Mom and Dad; a Ben Ten plastic figure, and Spiderman wall art, and a new Spider shooter! We went to McDonald's with his best mate, Aidan, and his Mom, Angie (which meant a good Mom visit also). Then we came home, got the mail, and he enjoyed getting a birthday card from Grandma and Grandpa; with five dollars and talk of the gift he will recieve later at his birthday party! He loved having the cash, and ran to find his wallet he recieved at Easter! Then, we got out the cake, ate some, and then Ethan went with his Dad to the Jazz game! Uncle Daniel even called to say Happy Birthday; and I know Ethan loved all the attention; so thanks everyone! Having five kids, I do feel that I want to make their birthdays special so they feel they are individually important; not just some part of a massive family! Hopefully, he realizes how special he is to our family!

Ethan as a baby!
Ethan trying to sing "Under the sea", kissing a doll, and saying "cheese"! Wow, time sure does fly! He was about two years old in this old video we just dug up!
Happy Birthday Ethan!!!
My little Superhero!

He loves to jump like a superhero! (and scare us all!)

Handsome mancub!

That mischeivous, contagious smile! (it makes it hard to discipline him at times!)

My swimming baby!

Today is Ethan's Fifth Birthday! I can't believe my baby is five. He will be in kindergarten next year! Wow, five years flies by so quickly! Brandon and I will never forget his birth; it was a terrifying time; as we were warned that he had "flatlined." I could hardly believe it and began to ask more questions. It was so hard for me to believe that in this day and age; things can go wrong in childbirth; but clearly, they can! My husband was absolutely terrified as both Ethan and my vitals all got sketchy for a little. I am amazed at how quickly an "emergency c-section" can take place. Once they realized that Ethan might be in trouble, they had him out in no time. I was not really too aware of what was going on; I was in a hazy place! All I know is that arms were up in me where they shouldn't be, I was almost upside down, beepers were going off all around me and hospital personnell were running in. All I know and care about is that the end result was a healthy, breathing baby. Ethan was so beautiful and precious; as he is to us now! Well, even today, Ethan seems to love excitement and has no fear! He frequently scares us all with his superhero antics, and jumps from high places. The child truly has no fear. He also is a natural swimmer; he loves water and would live in water if he could. He is a very sweet boy; with a mischeivous, infectious smile! His bright eyes frequently speak to us before his mouth does! I hope little Ethan never loses his excitement for life. He is also my child who enjoys playing by himself. He absolutely loves friends, but is also content to play by himself. I love him very much and am excited to see him grow up into a man. I couldn't be more proud of my little Ethanator! He currently loves Spiderman, and all superheroes, Ben Ten, Kidz Bop, Scripture Scouts, any sports, and swimming! He has also always had a huge sweet and salt addiction. The child will load salt on everything (an unbearably large amount of salt) and will eat it. He also loves any candy or anything sweet! I just love little Ethan.

Mothers Fears
All these shootings are just freaky! I know they are still considered a rarity; but the fact that they keep happening at increasing frequency; with increasingly negative consequences is so disturbing. You start to wonder what our world will look like in ten years. Will we have to go through intense security to go to any public setting? It is sad, because I think in many ways our "freedom" will change in that our world will have to provide security to prevent these frightening incidents of rage! I have such sympathy for all the victims and their families at Virginia Tech. I hope we can find ways to prevent such violence without destroying our sense of freedom.
Strepp, Part 2!
Well, this horrible case of Strepp that Brandon had last weekend, got to me this last weekend. What a horrible 4 days it has been for us. Throat pain, chills, fever, vomiting, nausea! Aren't you jealous? I have had Strepp before; but never this level. This has been the worst I have felt since Bronchial Pneumonia when I was twelve. Luckily, I am feeling better, not totally back to normal, but almost there. I am hoping by tomorrow to be recovered. Boring, but this is the life. We are just praying none of the children get this dreadfully sick!
