Fun on the 4th!

We got invited to a 4th of July breakfast with our neighbors! What a great way to celebrate! We did a raising of the flag, sang some patriotic songs, did some marching and even did some fireworks!

Fireworks

My husband LOVES fireworks. "The six days of fireworks" is sorta' like a family holiday! Every day we are permitted to do fireworks---it must be done! The kids all had a great time watching them, although many had to go inside for "5 minutes" as they kept crossing the line and getting to close to the fireworks! A fun, fun, night! Some of the firework parachutes landed on some of our neighbors homes and yards. SORRY! As you can see, the babies enjoyed playing ring around the rosies during the fireworks show!

Sorry neighbors!

A BBQ and the last of the fireworks!

We ended the fourth with a BBQ hosted by our friends and then the rest of the fireworks. It made for a fun day! We had a little of everything. A flag-raising, historical re-enactment, a fair, good food & friends, and fireworks! Can't beat that as a way to celebrate our freedom!

A Hot A "Fair"

What a hot fourth of July. We went to the local fair for the kids to have some fun! The heat was extraordinarily exhausting; making for nice naps for the return home! The kids had a great time!

I won't think where this mat has been! Better not to think about those things!

Mischeivous Ethan--see the grass in his hand? Yes, he threw that at his Mommy after little Brandon had dumped water on my head---Grass and water are a fabulous combination!

Historical Re-Creation

Any guesses on what historical event my husband Brandon had the children act out?

A Fabulous Fourth

We have a family tradition of LOTS of fireworks over this holiday. Brandon (my husband) is the master pyrotechnician! He just loves all the fireworks. When we were first married, it scared me a little. Back then, they were a little more scary. Unfortunately, they keep making the fireworks more and more tame---every year. It was fun this year, but it was a little disappointing as they are not as powerful as they once were---but still fun! We enjoyed spending time with our neighbors---they are so much fun! We had a blast last night!

Skater Dude!

Little B is growing up so quickly. It is strange how they begin to "transform" from little boys into little people! He is starting to lose the little boy look! Brandon has always been CRAZY for transformers. Daddy took little Brandon and Ethan to see the Transformer movie; I hear there are some "adult" words used---why do they have to inject unnecessary vulgarities? Anyway, the boys still loved it!
