Up until a year ago, I would not allow my husband to own or have guns. I have always disliked them and have had some fear of them. However, my husband has found such a fun hobby for himself that I felt like a mean Mommy trying to restrict this for him. (I guess this was a good year for me to change my mind on this, since the prices have soared recently!)
Since we have five very curious children, there are VERY strict rules about the guns. I have been given grief about this, but my kids do not even know we have guns. And, beyond that, the guns are all locked up very securely----so no worries, but I have been surprised at the direct effect this election has already had on our life. Just with the gun situation. A lot of people used to sell their used guns on KSL (Utah classified ads) for reasonable and cheap prices. Now they are expensive, even the used ones, and they are going so quickly. So, if you want a gun, now is the time to get one---- in the next couple months or you may not be able to!!! A good way to say "Merry Christmas" to your husband----if you can find one!
Or, to avoid being sexist, a great way to say "Merry Christmas" to your wife. From what I hear, they have pink guns at Walmart! What a gift. What a way to say "I love you" to that special person in your life. Or get a good laugh. Maybe an expensive laugh. Girls, don't be shy, tell your man you are wantin' that pink gun. This is the one Brandon is thinking of getting me----that is if I have been a good girl this year. Just kidding! (I know you are wondering if I am kidding about the gun or being a good girl this year. Gotta' keep you wondering.)
