Mommy Love

In our family, I started the tradition long ago (thankfully) that Brandon "gets" to read the kids stories and put them to bed. Our joke was that he had to do one "mean" thing a day, as I feel like I am always the disciplinarian in the family. Well, one of his perks, is every night he practices with the kids the following sentence "I Love Daddy!" He usually starts saying, "I love" and lets them fill in the blank.

So, often Brandon and I will play around and enlist the children in the contest of "I love __________." I will be saying Mommy, Mommy, and Brandon will be saying, Daddy, Daddy. Well, more times than not, they say "I love Daddy" except for little Maddie.

I have to say that it tickles my heart that no matter how many times Daddy practices "I love Daddy" with Maddie, she always says, "I love Mommy."
One out of five kids ain't bad, right?

Don't worry, this is just a fun family game, not to be taken too seriously!
