Olympic Park

We went to Olympic Park today with all the kids. It was the last official show for the High Flying Aerial Stunt Team for this season. It was incredible to see all these amazing jumps. Little Brandon was glued to the show and of course wanted to sign up for a class to start learning how to do it. (I am sure that would cost a fortune, so I think we will stick with football.) It was amazing. I don't know if you can tell in the pictures how high these jumpers are in the air!!! SOOOO incredible! That would be amazing to have that feeling of being so high in the air, doing acrobatics, and then falling and splashing into the water. That would be the experience of a lifetime. The kids also enjoyed the museum there. A great family field trip!

Look closely, do you see the four ski jumpers?

Night-Night

My favorite time of day------some days! Anyway, aren't they cute little munchkins? They really didn't all have to share a bed, we had two rooms, but you know, I am ruthless with my camera (not the best plan at 10:30pm).

Hotel Fun!

Who will win the fight over the mint? My days are filled with never-ending suspense!

THe BEST vacation EVER!

We were attending my grandfather's viewing and funeral---my parents offered to put us up in a hotel for the night to make it all the more easy! (Thanks Mom & Dad!) We didn't realize this would be such a memorable event for my children. They really enjoyed seeing all the family members, cousins, kids of my cousins, etc. at the funeral.

On top of that, they LOVED swimming in the hotel pool! You would've thought it was Christmas with the excitement my children all had about swimming in the hotel pool. It didn't hurt that we took them to the pool at 9:30pm (who needs bedtime on "vacation"?) and 8am (no matter what, our kids are always up by about 6:30am!)

Here were some of the funny comments:
"This is the BEST vacation EVER." -Little Brandon
"We get to stay in a hotel." -Benjamin
"We get two vacations this year. This and Aspen Grove (where we will be going for a mini-week). -Little Brandon
"When can we go swimming?" -each kid at least 100 times.

I guess I hadn't viewed this event as a "vacation", but what do I know! I guess usually when they are seeing so many relatives---and get to play with them, and stay in a hotel, that counts as a vacation. Let's just say we may be postponing any trips to Disneyland if we can get away with a hotel stay in Provo as the "best fun ever"! Who knew???

My handsome Brandon

Wide-eyed Ben: "A real pool?"

All smiles for Dyls at the pool! (He is my serious one!)

My sweet husband and part of our crew! I was also in the pool helping most of the time, except for some pictures on occasion!

My jumper Ethan

This may be part of the reason my husband and I have been scared to take our kids to the pool----like most kids, my kids LOVE to run around the perimeter of the pool and scare us a little---hence the lifejackets! Chasing after a 1 1/2, 2 1/2, and 3 1/2 year old at the pool takes more than one set of hands!

Yeah, clearly I forgot to bring the right size for little Brandon! OOPS!

Maddie and Benj scaling the inside of the pool---inch by inch.

Whoa----one at a time. Hold your horses---I mean life jackets!

Who knew La Quinta at 9:30pm, in Provo, with 5 kids, could be so great! We had the whole pool to ourselves---also at 8am. SOOOOO fun! For real, my husband and I both said we would have to do this again!

Benj with those killer brown eyes

Ethan jumping AGAIN

My "serious" child found that smile readily while in the water! (Just remember, you should NEVER label your children.)

Maddie with her smile!

Benj saying, "Mom, look at me!"
Where's photoshop when you need it? Just kidding---love all the smiles

Ethan, my fish!

The Surprise!

I have to say, it was so much fun to get on a flight to Texas with my husband and baby Dylan, and surprise my mother-in-law for her birthday. The look on her face when we came into the restaurant was priceless! She was in shock!!! Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of that moment, but here are some pictures from the restaurant on Thursday night upon arriving!
