Brandon's Birthday Date

It was so fun to go out with little Brandon for his birthday date. We took him out to eat and then stayed at Disneyland till midnight. He loved it, until the walk home. It was great to spend some one-on-one time with him. He is such a good, sweet, little boy. Such a spiritual little guy. I won't tell you about his Jesus dream or we all might start crying. And how is he almost nine years old?



Where we ate they gave him this cute little birthday card with picture since it was his birthday celebration. How cute is that?

Jedi Training at Disneyland

During the week we enjoyed short lines. That was all over on Friday. The park was open till midnight, and lines were long and it was VERY crowded. We still had a great time!

First thing Friday morning we went to the Jedi Training where they choose out kids to participate in the experience. None of our kids were chosen the first round. So, we went the next time, and luckily, Brandon and Ethan were chosen. (They should have kids wait in line so every child will have a chance.) Benjamin was feeling left out and sad since he wasn't chosen. Poor kid----we bought him a consolation toy to cheer him up. I have to say, the Jedi training was so great. I loved watching the kids have that experience. Fabulous experience. See the videos below of Brandon and Ethan using their Jedi skills!

And then our 2nd double stroller broke, and Maddie (3) and I were stuck for about an hour. It should be the terrible 3's, not the terrible 2's. Keeping her out of the street and occupied for an hour (without her siblings) was quite the task! Mischeivous eyes and grin. Good thing she is so charming.




Maddie enjoyed playing with Benj's storm trooper gun. Like mother, like daughter.

Tower of Terror

Funniest Quote: Little Brandon and his Daddy went on the "Tower of Terror" ride. I waited outside with the four kids (which was an adventure by itself; and I would say it was the SCARIER ride). Anyway, we saw little Brandon running out, but no Daddy. So little Ethan (7) asked little Brandon: "Did Daddy die?" (and he was dead serious!) Little Ethan was quite scared of many of the rides (which surprised me as he is really brave in everyday life.)


Other funny kid things:

Maddie loved chasing the pigeons everywhere, the whole time.

Little Brandon decided he doesn't like big drops because it makes his stomach go up. He really enjoyed going on a "Birthday Date" with Mom and Dad in Disneyland.

Benjamin was not scared of anything. He loved all the scary rides he could go on---including Splash Mountain and the Bobsleds.

Dylan (2) was sitting on Daddy's shoulders and I was ahead of him with the other kids (waiting for Pirates of the Carribean ride). Finally the guy behind us poked my husband on the shoulder and told him Dylan had been spitting on him since we started waiting. OOPS. Talk about wanting to die.

Ethan was scared of most of the rides, even many of the tame rides. He and I agreed we liked "it's a small world" ride.

I have to say a highlight of the trip was Brandon and Ethan being chosen for the Jedi Training.

Ariel's Grotto

We had a Mommy-daughter lunch at Ariel's Grotto. The food was OK, but it was quite pricey, and the experience was not as personal as Goofy's Kitchen. It was still fun though to spend some time alone with Maddie and she enjoyed all the princesses.

Maddie loved listening to the chocolate shell.


















After our date, Maddie was dancing through the Disney streets. I think the Disney princesses just filled her little heart with great joy that needed to be expressed.
