Christmas 2011

Suffice to say, this has been a blessed Christmas. We have received so many blessings and had the opportunity to share some of those blessings with others. The Christmas spirit was strong and beautiful this year and I just loved having a beautiful family Christmas. The weekend before Christmas, we were able to enjoy time with Nana and Papa. Christmas, my parents slept overnight. It was a beautiful time. I really enjoyed Christmas being on a Sunday. Spending family time, exchanging gifts, and then going to church at noon. Doesn't get much better than that. New Years (yesterday was also on a SUnday). We had a good morning at church, then my hubby lit off some fireworks after we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday meal with great friends. Couldn't start off a year in a better way.

I am so excited for this new year. 2011 kicked my trash. 2011 was a difficult year in many ways for me. I think it was a year of big transitions.

One thing I have learned about myself: revelation for me often comes with foreshadowing type experiences. I usually have not been aware of this and just feel a strong anxiety that "something" needs to happen RIGHT away. Well, it seems to turn out that these events are on the 6-12 month radar screen. I think Heavenly Father is trying to prepare me. This is what happened with Benjamin's adoption as well as many other events. Before Benjamin was born, the summer prior, I felt such a STRONG notion that I needed to have a baby right then. I felt great frustration that this could not happen right away, and didn't understand this strong, strong prompting. Well, now it makes perfect sense. I have also had a STRONG sense that I need to drop off one night of work, for about the last six months. Well, that is about to happen, thanks to some miracles in my life. I am grateful for a wonderful, loving Heavenly Father who shows us the way. I am grateful for the presence of the Holy Ghost to lead and guide us to happiness in our lives. Grateful for my family.

Happy NEW YEAR!

Best Fresh Salsa Recipe

I could drink this and just maybe I have. SO delicious. This is the Barzee recipe for salsa:

6 roma tomatoes
white onion (one thick part slice)
green onions (about 1/3 of bunch, about a handful)
cilantro (handful) (chop after separating leaves)
A whole lime
salt to taste.
Hand chop
