Ugh...One of those morns....

I must need these every once in a while to make me grateful for the "normal" morning.......

So, woke up at 4am.....watched a couple shows as I couldn't fall asleep......then at 7am semi-fell back asleep. I was a bit groggy...but kept hearing phone ringing downstairs.......hmmmmmm. Get up? I better...just in case.

So, turns out my little B wiped out on the way to school on his scooter. He ripped his shirt, has a big egg and scrapes on his forehead and nose, and knee. And, of course he had his trusty protein shake in his pocket, which blew up all over his shorts. Poor kid...I guess I shouldn't be complaining...so he needed a new outfit. By this time it is 7:30...I am trying to wake the living dead...other children.....as I rush to get out of my bathrobe and get Brandon a new outfit.

So, I take off, take care of Brandon, come home and try to get rest of kids off to school. Little Dylan decides to throw a ROYAL tantrum. Holy cow! He does have lungs and they work. So, sent other kids off to school and ignored him while he finished tantrumming....he sure did take his time.

Finally got him off to school. I am bloody exhausted...and have to clean out outside freezer which was left open...so all food is ruined and we are waiting for it to defrost. DON'T GET TOO JEALOUS. Good news...we cleaned up much of the garage yesterday.

I am working tonight...so need to get a lot in order before then...also had to grab allergy medicine as my eyes are threatening to close on me....and they are itching so bad.

OK...thanks for letting me vent. All is well now......writing is very cathartic. A girl needs to vent. HAPPY TUESDAY to everyone!!!

Fried Rice

3 cups cooked white rice (day old or leftover rice works best!)...
3 Tablespoons sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
1 cup frozen peas and carrots (thawed)
1 small onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3-4 Tablespoons soy sauce
On medium high heat, heat the oil in a large skillet or wok. Add the peas/carrots mix, onion and garlic. Stir fry until tender. Lower the heat to medium low and push the mixture off to one side, then pour your eggs on the other side of skillet and stir fry until scrambled. Now add the rice and soy sauce and blend all together well. Stir fry until thoroughly heated!

General Conference Weekend----Family

I LOVE General Conference weekend. It feels like a holiday. Two days in jammies (if possible), being uplifted with inspiring talks. And.....food, food, food. I love to have tons of great breakfast food, and fun finger foods and just enjoy all the family time. This year I bought composition books for all of us in the fam, and had them write out their questions for God. I know that each of us will get answers to our questions through Conference. One benefit of being YW president is I make cute handouts for the YW of my ward. I figure it is a great opportunity to give them to my kids also. This handout comes with M&Ms.......Anyway....HAPPY CONFERENCE everyone!!!
